Weekly Photo Challenge: Indulge

When I hear the word “indulge” what comes to my mind are FOOD and VANITY!

I indulge myself with things that would feed me (literally and figuratively speaking) whenever my time and my money permit.

New Year = New Look ! ! !

Every six months or so, I’ll visit the salon and have my hair rebounded. I wished to have a fiery-red hair just like my old wig but I also feared that my boss would kick me out for doing such. December came and so did our beefed-up salary. I really wanted a new look! I disregarded the fear of losing my job and I hurried to Heaven’s Salon (Rizal branch) right after our trip to Mindoro. Haha! It was long and tiring because we spent almost ten hours to get everything done. Since my hair was originally black, dyeing it hot-red turned it auburn-ish instead. I was dissatisfied at first but I learned to love it. I will go back there after three months to have it redone (and hopefully get the result I want)… then the cycle will continue.

Cross Pendant Collection

My fiancé wore a cross pendant when we first met. Ever since that day, I had been fascinated with cross pendants and I have collected quite a lot in due time. I am not religious, though, so I never bought crucifixes. Crosses are staple accessories for Goths. Most of my necklaces and pendants have either been worn out, given to others or misplaced. I only have the current batch with me now. More details on this blog entry: [My Collection : Pendants . . .]

… and now, the FOOD!!!

Feast thy eyes with photos of luscious dishes and sweet pastries from various restaurants and shops within Metro Manila. For details, please read my [blogs about food and drinks].

Heaven & Eggs ☜(⌒▽⌒)☞ [ 2 ]

It is Chili‘s Big Mouth Burger Day! My friends and I went to Greenbelt hoping we could grab a bite but we were sooooo unfortunate as there were plenty of people lined up outside the restaurant. Most of them have already booked prior to the event and the wait time reached about an hour and a half.

We decided to cancel our original plan and just head off to one of our favorite restaurants Heaven & Eggs.

Their service that night was much better than our previous experiences and I think that’s because the manager (or whatever you call him) was there to watch over.

I ordered their Korean Beef Stew but it’s quite tart so I wasn’t able to consume everything. I guess I really have no liking for Korean food other than those from 88 Spa.

Anyway, their presentation is still remarkable and the Manila Spareribs 1965 is still one of their best dishes.  ☜(⌒▽⌒)☞

Party Like a Rock Star \m/*.*\m/

Heaven & Eggs has been a personal fave since I started working in Makati. Whenever I had money to spare, my colleagues and I (sometimes Dada and I) dined there.

Their previous theme was a Garden setting, wherein some chairs were dangling from the ceiling to look like swings. Their menu was also similar to Pancake House‘s. About a year or so ago, they changed it to the Rock Star theme. I do not have any qualms with it. In fact, I am very much pleased with the ambiance because I am a big fan of rock music and going to H&E makes me feel “at home.” \m/*.*\m/

The food is awesome! Big servings, good presentation, great taste! Customer service is okay. Not that good but it wasn’t bad either.

I suggested this to my friends and all of them liked the dining experience. Most of us are living up North but we might come back here if another opportunity arises. LoL!

(We went to Starbucks right after, btw.)
