9th Anniversary of Philippine Ragnarok Online ! ! !

My little sister and I were very visible since we’re on the front row. ANG SAYAAAA!!!

I thought that we were unfortunate because we failed to acquire premium passes for Cosmania 2012. As it turned out, it was actually a blessing-in-disguise!

The 9th Anniversary of Philippine Ragnarok Online fell on the same date as Cosmania’s. Level Up Games announced that KAMIKAZEE would be performing too so I knew that I SHOULD NOT MISS IT!

I am so glad that I did what my gut told me to do. I did not regret every single second (and cent) I spent on this event!!!

Weekly Photo Challenge : Ready

It was the start of the Year of the Black Water Dragon.

These flags were carried by Chinese-Filipino students during CHInoy HAO BANG. They were lining up in front of the stage (they were getting ready to perform the Dragon Dance) when my fiancé and I passed by to take some photos. I was lucky enough since the clouds were piling up as if a storm was brewing and one of the kids waved a flag as soon as I clicked my camera.

Of course, this is photo-manipulated to get that 300-feel to it. I got lazy so I didn’t remove the light stands in the lower part of the photo anymore.

This is my entry for the late theme this week. Thanks for the likes and comments. ♥

CHInoy HAO BANG 2012 ! ! !

Dragon Flags

KUNG HEI FAT CHOI!!!

Dada and I welcomed the Year of the Water Dragon by attending the CHInoy HAO BANG in San Miguel By the Bay – SM Mall Of Asia.  Dada is partly Chinese. I have no Chinese blood running through my veins. What I wanted to do was celebrate the results of my diet pact – my cheongsam finally fits!!! LoL! Continue reading

New Year – No Resolution . . .

Happy New Year ! ! !

Another year has passed, eh?

Some of my experiences were unpleasant but I do not regret anything. Events happened because they had to happen. They honed me into what I am today.

In lieu with this, I really do not have any new year’s resolution. I am satisfied with what I have become. If something prompts me to change, then I would.

What I just want to achieve this year is to finally settle down. It is still not definite but once there is a confirmation then I will put my heart and soul into it.

Until then, I’ll continue to live my life how I always have.

Happy new year!!!

Fragments of Memories . . .

A month has passed since my old PC died so I seldom went online. It was frustrating because a lot of things happened and I can barely remember them now. Only fragments of memories remain within — awaiting salvation. LoL!

Meiko's Pink Birthday~

Claribelle and I celebrated our birthdays together with the rest of the barkada. As usual, I am the only one in a dress and they were wearing jeans! Toni showed us a restaurant showcasing all sorts of Coca-cola memorabilia, which has been aptly named The Real Thing Diner. Their main color is red with a splash of white in between. The shelves beside the main entrance are donned with mugs, stuffed toys, bottles, and other trinkets. Another shelf is located atop the windowpane which is decorated with soda cans of varying designs. There is also a wide-screen TV playing Coke commercials dating back from the 80’s! How’s the food? Well, definitely not the best among the lot but the taste is just right. Another cool thing is that this is the one-and-only restaurant serving Royal True-Orange floats (AFAIK)! I felt so bad that I left Epiphany at home (darn rain)!!!

Brunch ( Tokyo Café & Conti’s ). . .

My high school friends and I celebrated our uber-delayed Christmas Party by going to SM-North (The Block) and having brunch in Tokyo Café. We also headed to TrinoMa and had dessert in Conti’s.

TOKYO CAFÉ

I love dining in Tokyo Café because they serve delicious food all the time. I still ordered their patty but this time I tried the Hamburg and Shrimp. My friends ordered pasta (forgot what it’s called), Beef Al Ajilo and Pork Shoga Yaki.

The Hamburg and Shrimp's patties and side dishes are very delicious but I disliked the taste of the Ebi Tempura dipped in Caesar's Salad.

The Pork Shoga Yaki is kinda sweet and tender. I didn't like the potato salad, though.

Beef Al Ajilo -- I'm unsure of the name. Clari said this is the beef counterpart of the Pork Shoga Yaki. It tastes good!

I can't remember the name of this Bolognese-ish pasta.

Of course, my meal will not be complete without this. ♥

CONTI’S

The customer service we received in Conti’s was very unsatisfactory. The guard (who was acting like a waiter) forgot to take down our names so instead of us being third in the queue, a group who came after us were served first. It also took them more than ten minutes to serve the food we ordered. Aside from these, their comfort rooms are so dirty! It’s a good thing that their pastries are delicious, otherwise the long and strenuous walk from SM-North to TrinoMa was just a waste. I can recommend their pastries, but dining in is a big no-no.

This is the first time I tasted a Blueberry Cheesecake and I really liked it.

Their Tiramisu is quite soft, compared to those that we purchase elsewhere.

The Mango Bravo is Conti's best seller pastry. This is one of the biggest "casual" cakes I've seen as well. It tastes good.

Black Gulaman & Sago ... too sweet.
