"Bella Swan has always been a little bit different, never caring about fitting in with the trendy girls at her Phoenix high school. When her mother re-marries and sends Bella to live with her father in the rainy little town of Forks, Washington, she doesn't expect much of anything to change. Then she meets the mysterious and dazzlingly beautiful Edward Cullen, a boy unlike any she's ever met. Edward is a vampire, but he doesn't have fangs and his family is unique in that they choose not to drink human blood. Intelligent and witty, Edward sees straight into Bella's soul. Soon, they are swept up in a passionate, thrilling and unorthodox romance. To Edward, Bella is what he has waited 90 years for — a soul mate. But the closer they get, the more Edward must struggle to resist the primal pull of her scent, which could send him into an uncontrollable frenzy. But what will Edward & Bella do when a clan of new vampires — James, Laurent and Victoria — come to town and threaten to disrupt their way of life?" — Yahoo Movies

Everyone's been talking about it and they seem to agree that it's a good film. Though, I've reviewed Rotten Tomatoes and they gave it a 43% rating. I am not addicted with vampire flicks. I also read somewhere about a synopsis of the film and I got reminded of Fushigi Yuugi [link] because of the similar idea (damsel in distress takes center stage, her lover plus their minions get rid of evil). I thought of watching this just for the sake of watching.

Not much on the special effects but I liked the concept on how they played baseball. Bella (the normal girl) is more blank-faced than Edward (the main vampire)! The film focuses more on the love story than the whole vampire thing. I was actually waiting for these two to shout "Miaka!!!" and "Tamahome~!!! LoL! I was thinking that a vampire would be calm, reserved and COOL but IMHO, Edward lacked all three. I liked Carlisle and Jasper better.

I give it :
Though I hate the film, I was very hooked into the soundtrack. The credits theme was so "emo" that I liked it! When I got back home, I searched the Internet for the OST. Lo and behold! The song "Leave Out All the Rest" was actually performed by Linkin Park! OMG! I am so happy~~~ The other songs I like are "Supermassive Black Hole" by Muse and "Decode" by Paramore.
