"Tony Stark is a billionaire industrialist and genius inventor who is kidnapped and forced to build a devastating weapon. Instead, using his intelligence and ingenuity, Tony builds a high-tech suit of armor and escapes captivity. When he uncovers a nefarious plot with global implications, he dons his powerful armor and vows to protect the world as Iron Man." — Yahoo! Movies

I have never read any Iron Man comic nor have I watched cartoons of it (if there were any). Although, I still watched the movie with Dada since it is a sci-fi film and it was one of the highly-anticipated shows of the month. I must say that it was worth it.

The story is kinda tragic because of the deaths involved. It also shows how Tony Stark was edified about the irony of his dream – he made the weapons that killed the people he vowed to protect. Another thing I liked about it was how Tony Stark built and set the preferences on the new hot-red suit. The special effects were very impressive!

Robert Downey Jr (Stark) and the rest of the cast all played their roles very well. He and Terrence Howard (Rhodes) had a very good chemistry so I am saddened and I was baffled as to why Marvel replaced the latter on the sequel. Replacing actors and actresses on sequels takes away a part of the story and the overall "feel" of the movie. I just hope that the new piece of the puzzle fits in well.

I give it :
